Thomas Drechsel joins the department as an Assistant Professor. He is currently completing a PhD in economics at the London School of Economics. He holds an MSc from University College London and a BSc from Goethe University Frankfurt. Prior to starting his PhD he worked in the research department of the European Central Bank. Thomas’ research interests cover macro-finance, international macro and macroeconometrics. His job market paper investigates the role of firms’ credit constraints in the transmission of macroeconomic fluctuations. His work has been published in the Journal of Finance, the Review of Economics and Statistics and the Journal of International Economics.
