Traveling to Campus by Car
There are a number of visitor parking lots around the University campus, but the spaces at the bottom level of the Mowatt Lane Garage are closest to Tydings Hall. Parking rates are $3 per hour with no daily maximum rate for weekdays or weekends. Tydings Hall is located at the top of the hill from Mowatt Lane Garage, at the southwest corner of McKeldin Mall.
Shuttle-UM
The University of Maryland's Department of Transportation Services (DOTS) provides shuttle service to various locations in College Park, MD and the immediate surrounding area for students, faculty, and staff. Visitors may ride the 104 College Park Metro shuttle between the main campus and the College Park metro station without presenting a university ID card. Regional Transportation
The Adele H. Stamp Student Union provides an extensive listing of regional transportation options, including options for traveling to and from area airports. Due to the high volume of traffic in the area, particularly during holidays and major campus events, visitors are encouraged to make use of public transportation whenever possible.
