George Zuo, who graduated from our program in 2021, was one of the Dissertation Award winners for 2022 announced by the Upjohn Institute. The award recognizes the best Ph.D. dissertations on employment policies and issues. George Zuo’s dissertation focuses on improving economic mobility for low-income Americans, and explores topics such as broadband affordability, school discipline policies, housing, and economic development in low-income neighborhoods.
