Weizheng Lai’s research paper was just accepted at the Journal of Law & Economics. Weizheng is a fifth-year student in the Economics Department, with research interests in political economy, personnel economics of the state, and Chinese economy. His paper, co-authored with Xun Li from Wuhan University, examines the impact of China's anti-corruption efforts on entry into bureaucratic jobs. The research was supervised by Professors Ethan Kaplan, Allan Drazen, and Peter Murrell.
