Several members of the Economics Department have been recognized for innovative teaching by UMD’s Teaching and Learning Transformation Centers (TLTC). Ronda Ansted received a TLTC Teaching Academy Award in the category Course Design Practitioners. Martina Copelman, Erin Moody and Stefania Scandizzo received TLTC Teaching Innovation grants. Martina and Erin also received TLTC Teaching Academy Awards in the categories Innovative Assessment Practitioners and Universal Design for Learning Practitioners. Graduate student Dali Tsakadze earned the UTLP certificate from the University’s Teaching and Learning program.

These recognitions showcase our innovative approach to teaching. They are only some examples of teaching innovation happening at the Economics Department.
