Professor Ginger Zhe Jin has been appointed the ADVANCE professor for the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences from 2021 to 2023. Founded initially through an NSF grant, ADVANCE is a campus wide program aiming to improve the retention, representation, success, and work environments of women and under-represented minority faculty. The program provides resources to faculty and staff, and engages in high-impact activities that support faculty and improve work environments. More details can be found at advance.umd.edu.
