"Global banks and crisis transmission" by Professor Sebnem Kalemli-Ozcan and co-authors, published in 2013, was recently recognized as one of the top 5 most highly cited papers during 2014, 2015 and through June 2016 in the Journal of International Economics. This paper shows for the first time the transmission of the global financial crisis from the US to the rest of the world through international banking linkages.
