Shihangyin (Frank) Zhang, an Economics Graduate student, won the 2021 Graduate Student Competition of the EIIT conference with his job market paper "Quantitative Effects of Trade Shocks Under Global Supply Chains."

He presented it at the 28th Annual Empirical Investigations in International Trade (EIIT) conference. This competition has been held every year since 1995 and served as the debut for several notable trade economists.
